| pour mes amies dans montréal. In august 2008, I spent a week in Montréal, occasionally recording my activities as I explored the city for the first time. This work is an attempt at approaching the memories of my time there. Memory, it seems, much like the auditory medium, has a tendency towards paleness. I was interested in these pale fragments of experience, using them compositionally in order to further complicate notions of understatement and boredom, documenting and documentation, banality and significance; memory and remembering.
