audiovisual installation
5 channel sound, 6 channel light. ~15 compositional cycle.

5 speakers, 3 40W incandescent light bulbs, 2 theatrical lights, 2 coloured LED lights, dmx dimmer, gel filters, cardboard tubes, mosquito net.
A sound and light installation, exploring compositional relationships and focal shifts between two perceptual levels: the immediate, apparent and focus inducing level of the object, and the immaterial, non directional, on-the-threshold-of-perception level of the ambient field.
The object level reveals a dance between audiovisual agents; the field seeks to modulate the environmental quality of darkness.
The installation takes place through a fixed compositional cycle of approximately 15 minutes.

Note on documentation: many of the perceptual subtelties of the work (especially the field level) are barely perceptable with the naked eye, and in combination with extreme darkness of the presentation space, do not lend themselves to reproduction using video cameras. This is, unfortunately, an unavoidable by-product of an installation that stresses perceptual theresholds of the sensory experience.
